The 61st conference of AHEPA was held with great success in AHEPA HALL in Rockdale. Many of the members said that it was a basic conference because to this conference it was presented the new statute which is a challenge for the future of AHEPA. The president of AHEPA Mr John Kallimanis presented the new statute and talked about a plan which is going to help the functioning and the harmonious development of AHEPA’s departments aiming to be on top in Greek Community.
Striking feature of the conference was that the attendance of the members of AHEPA exceeded all expectations! More than 100 members, not only were present during the proceedings of the conference, but there was a unity that created great euphoria and cooperation among members. The president of AHEPA Mr John Kallimanis seeing the large attendance of the members, had a reason to speak about a dawn of a new day with great expectations for the future.
During the conference, in addition to the new statute, there were many suggestions that the president of AHEPA promised to help to be achieved!
AHEPA in the future will be like a club, but in a more organized structure and and more modern proprietary facilities. The conference was also attended by the consul of Greece in Sydney Mr Stavros Kyrimis and the school head of Sans Souci Mr Rob Jennings, where AHEPA donated 40 tablet that are going to help in teaching the Greek language and also a check of $35.600.
After the end of the conference, the members of NSW AHEPA had every reason to believe that their organization will have a more dynamic and constructive role in the future in NSW.
