The “OHI DAY” was celebrated in Sydney, in  Northern Steps of the Anzac Memorial Hyde Park South.

The Greek government was represented by the Consul of Sydney, Dr Stavros Kyrimis and Australian Government was represented by the the Financial Minister Scot Morison.

To the celebration were also honored the 17.000 ANZACs that participated to the military campaign in Crete against Germans.

From the Greek Community there were the president of AHEPA Mr John Kallimanis, the president of the Greek Community Mr Haris Danalis, the president of PAMMAKEDONIKI Mr Nick Fasoulas and also other presidents and members of Greek Associations.

The best impressions gave the Greek students that were holding both the Greek and the Australian flags to the place of the monument.
