Police investigate truck rollover – Gordon

Police are investigating after a truck rolled onto its side in Gordon this morning.

About 3.10am (Monday 10 August 2015), a container truck was travelling north on the Pacific Highway, near the intersection of McIntyre Street, when it tipped and landed on its side.

The driver, a 52-old-man, was treated at the scene for minor injuries. No one else was injured.

The Pacific Highway is currently closed in both directions while crews try to correct and tow the truck and container.

It is anticipated the Pacific Highway will be closed for a number of hours and diversions are in place. Police are urging drivers to avoid the area if possible.

Investigations into the incident are continuing.
