Power lines brought down in crash – Roselands

A man has been taken to hospital for mandatory testing after the vehicle he was driving left the road and hit a power pole at Roselands this morning.

The crash happened on King Georges Road, near the intersection with Moorefields Road, about 1.50am (Thursday 5 May 2016).

The driver, and sole occupant of the Toyota Camry, allegedly returned a positive roadside breath test and was arrested.

The 40-year-old man has been taken to Canterbury Hospital for mandatory testing and to be checked as a precaution.

The crash blocked all north bound lanes for about 40 minutes while powerlines were removed.
