Public Assistance Sought – Robbery – Coconut Grove

Northern Territory Police are calling for public assistance following an armed robbery at a service station in Coconut Grove early this morning.

Detective Acting Senior Sergeant Mark Bland said it is alleged that just after 2:00am two unknown males, one armed with a steel bar, entered the Bagot Road service station and began demanding cash.

 “The attendant has retreated to the back room, while one of the males has smashed the locked counter door and stolen a quantity of cigarettes.

“Both offenders were then seen fleeing on foot across Bagot Road and onto the golf course. Police attended but were unable to locate the males.”

They are described as:

  • Offender One: Male described as being of Caucasian appearance, around 183cm tall and of athletic build. He was wearing a black t-shirt, long camouflage style pants and a baseball cap. He was carrying a blue backpack at the time of the incident.
  • Offender Two: Male described as being of Indigenous appearance, around 180cm tall and of slim build. He was wearing long dark shorts, a long sleeved shirt, long white socks and shoes. He was wearing a baseball cap and carrying a steel bar at the time of the incident.

“Police are calling for anyone with any information to contact them on 131 444 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000,” Detective Acting Senior Sergeant Bland said.
