Two men in hospital following assault – Burwood

Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the assault of two men at a home in Burwood overnight.

Emergency services were called to a home on Fitzroy Street about 11.10pm (Monday 31 August 2015), where they found two men suffering injuries from being struck with a blunt object.

Both men, who reside at the home, were treated at the scene before being taken to Royal Prince Alfred Hospital with non life threatening injuries.

A crime scene has been established at the premises while detectives from Burwood conduct a full investigation.

Early investigations suggest the assault involved up to four men, and at least one of the offenders in known to the occupants.

Inquiries continue.
