Monday, 09 November 2015 04:30

Wodonga Crime Investigation Unit detectives are appealing for public assistance to identify four men wanted for more than 30 burglaries in the Wodonga and Albury areas.

The four men, who cover their heads with t-shirts and hoodies, have been targeting service stations, hotels and convenience stores over the past six months.

Investigators have obtained CCTV footage of a burglary committed on a service station on Main Street at Rutherglen on 24 August.

On this occasion the burglars drove to the address in a stolen Nissan 4X4 and used iron bars to gain entry to the front doors of the shop.

Once inside they stole a quantity of cigarettes before fleeing in the stolen car.

The car was found the next day, burnt out, near the Hume Weir.

The burglars are stealing cigarettes, alcohol and cash.
