Casey Response and Tasking Unit detectives are appealing for public assistance to help locate the owners of about 50 pairs of men’s shorts that they believe may have been stolen.
Police arrested a 34-year-old Berwick man earlier this afternoon in Berwick and located the shorts and other allegedly stolen property in his vehicle.
The shorts are described as men’s surf shorts, the brands being Hurley and Phantom.
Pricing tickets still attached to the items indicate that the shorts are valued at approximately $2,500
Investigators have also released images of the property in the hope someone recognises it.
