Armed robbery – Kingsgrove

Witnesses are being urged to come forward after an armed robbery in Kingsgrove this morning.

About 3.30am (Friday 10 February 2017), officers from St George Local Area Command were called to a hotel on Shaw Street following reports of a robbery.

Inquiries have led police to believe a man armed with a firearm approached a staff member in the hotel, demanding money.

The man fled the scene a short time later, taking cash.

No one was injured and police were called.

A crime scene has been established, which will be examined by forensic officers.
