Man shot – Bankstown

Police are investigating after the shooting death of a man in Sydney’s west this morning.

Just after 9.20am (Tuesday 25 October 2016), emergency services were called to Sturt Avenue, Georges Hall, following reports of shots fired.

Officers from Bankstown Local Area Command attended and located a man, believed to be aged in his 20s, with multiple gunshot wounds.

He was treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics; however, he died at the scene.

Police have been told a black Audi sedan, not further described, was seen leaving the area.

A crime scene has been established and will be examined by specialist officers.
