After a new study, they found that some chemicals in shampoo and beauty products can cause breast cancer. These chemicals can be more harmful during puberty years or pregancy. They found that parabens, help in the creation of oestradiol and oestrogen which are both linked to breast cancer and reproductive problems. Parabens can be found in many products like body lotions, sunscreens, make-up, shaving foam and shampoo. “Although parabens are known to mimic the growth effects of oestrogens on breast cancer cells, some consider their effect too weak to cause harm. But this might not be true when parabens are combined with other agents that regulate cell growth” says the gynaecologist and molecular biologist Dale Leitman.
