TURKISH COUP – WAS IT REALLY A COUP?

The Turkish Coup was a Coup that left people wondering. Many described it as amateur, other said that it was unorganised. We are wondering if there was a coup in the first place because this coup did not seem like it is real.

The three main features of a coup is:

1. The coup happens in midnight

This coup happened before midnight and as a result people reacted against it by getting out in the streets

2.When the coup happens, the target is the prime minister of the country and the leaders of the opposition parties.

In this case Erdogan was free and the leaders of the opposition parties were talking about the coup on TV!

3. When the coup happens, the military takes over the media, like radios, TV, the newspapers and internet.

This didn’t occur except for one or two TV channels while the other channels were hosting leaders of parties who were talking about the fact that they are against the coup.

There are more things that should have happened but I will not talk about them because I don’t want you to get bored.

In the end, was the coup a plan of Erdogan to expose those who are really thinking about making a coup?

For sure this coup exposed thousands of officers, soldiers and judges. One more victory for Erdogan. It is obvious that some officers fell in the trap of Erdogan. The question is, are there any other officers who are thinking about a coup? Will the next coup be more organised?
