BSH Home Appliances Pty Ltd — Bosch Freestanding Gas/Electric Cooker 60cm
What are the defects?
Under certain circumstances, the adaptor between the gas supply and the appliance may crack causing a potential gas leak.
What are the hazards?
Leaking gas may cause an explosion.
What should consumers do?
Consumers should check their cookers to see if they have an affected model, by looking at the model number and batch number and comparing these to the information on
www.gascookingsafety.com (link is external). These model number and batch number are printed on the appliance rating plate, which is located on the right hand side of the oven door or cavity when the door is open or in the accessory drawer when the drawer is open. The model number is the ‘E-Nr’ on the plate and the batch number is ‘FD’ (see photograph above).
Consumers should cease using any affected model immediately, shut off the gas supply to the appliance and contact BSH Home Appliances to arrange the repair of their cooker on 1300 955 742 or via
www.gascookingsafety.com (link is external). BSH will organise an authorised and trained repair agent to visit the consumer’s home and replace the relevant component.
