INVITATION FOR THE COMMEMORATION OF THE VICTIMS OF GENOCIDE

A few months ago, 9 December was declared International Day of Commemoration for the Victims of the Crime of Genocide and of the Prevention of this Crime by the United Nations’ General Assembly. http://www.un.org/en/events/genocidepreventionday/ 

To mark this occasion, the Australian Institute for Holocaust and Genocide Studies and the Sydney Jewish Museum are organising a very special event featuring genocide scholar Prof Colin Tatz, journalist and lecturer Helen Vatsikopoulos and Shoah survivor Paul Drexler.

In the spirit of this day, this event will commemorate the victims of ALL genocides, though special attention will be given to European Jews, Rwandans, Hellenes, Armenians and Assyrians.
