A HOSPITAL IN VICTORIA IS RESPONSIBLE FOR THE DEATHS OF 10 BABIES!!!

Shock caused the news that the Bacchus Marsh and Melton Hospital maybe responsible for the death of 10 babies!

After a 2 years investigation into Djerriwarrh Health Services found that 7 of 10 of stillborn or newborn deaths may have been avoidable.  Suspect for these deaths is a senior doctor who is no longer working in the hospital.  This doctor had many massive failings, most of which had no foreseen complications which could explain the losses!

The 5 of 7 babies died on 2013 and other 2 on 2014.

To this hospital after an investigation the board didn’t mention some of the deaths, no good foetal surveillance and also some high-risk pregnancies that should have been referred on but they didn’t!

The board of the health service has been sacked, and expert administrators are in place.

The Minister of Health Ms Hennessy said that  full support would be given to the families involved and also the affected families may be eligible for compensation. 

Ms Hennessy said that the affected families should now the truth and which was the real reason that they lost their baby.  She also said: “It is heartbreaking to think of these women thinking that for some reason the death of their baby may have been their fault”.
