Man charged with drug supply – Central Railway Station

A man has been charged after officers found drugs and mobile phones in his possession at Central Railway Station earlier this week.

About 10am on Wednesday (8 March 2017), officer from the Police Transport Command responded to reports of people fighting in the Devonshire Tunnel at Central Railway Station.

Officers stopped and spoke with three men.

Following investigations, officers searched one of the men, a 29-year-old from Potts Point, and allegedly located an amount of drugs believed to be ‘ice’ and five mobile phones.

The items were seized and will undergo forensic examinations.

The man was arrested and taken to Surry Hills Police Station where he was charged with supply prohibited drugs and goods in custody.

He was refused bail and appeared at Central Local Court yesterday (Thursday 9 March 2017) where he was again refused bail to appear at Central Local Court on 20 April 2017.
