Police are investigating after an armed robbery of a hotel in Sydney’s south early this morning.
Just after 1.45am (Monday 26 September 2016), police were called to a hotel on King Georges Road, Beverley Hills, following reports of an armed robbery.
Police have been told two men wearing face coverings and armed with a knife approached the manager, a man aged in his 30s, after closing for the night.
The men threatened the manager and walked him back inside the hotel where they demanded money from the safe.
The manager complied after being assaulted and the two men ran from the hotel with a sum of cash.
Officers from St George Local Area Command attended and established a crime scene.
The manager suffered minor injuries to his face and was treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics.
As inquiries continue, police are urging any witnesses or anyone with information to come forward and contact St George Police via Crime Stoppers.
