Western Adelaide police patrols have arrested two youths after a house on Delfin Island West Lakes was broken into overnight.
Just after 4am the residents of a McDonald Grove home woke to hearing noises and seeing a torchlight inside the house and called police.
Local patrols quickly set up cordons around the area. With the assistance of police dog Ruger and his handler, two teenage boys men were arrested nearby, a third suspect managed to evade the patrols.
A 16-year-old boy from Port Adelaide and a 14-year-old boy from Pooraka have both been charged with aggravated serious criminal trespass, theft and unlawful possession. They have both been refused bail and will appear in the Port Adelaide Youth Court later today.
Inquiries are continuing on the third suspect.
