Police are investigating a two-vehicle crash in Sydney’s west today.
Just before 2.10pm (Wednesday 24 August 2016), emergency services were called to Mulgoa Road, Mulgoa, following reports of a crash.
Initial inquiries suggest a Toyota mini bus and a Ford Laser have collided head on.
A female passenger in the Toyota mini bus was trapped for a short amount of time. After being assisted out of the vehicle, she was taken by NSW Ambulance Paramedics to Westmead Hospital suffering leg and arm injuries.
The female driver of the Ford Laser was also taken to Westmead Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Four other passengers in the Toyota mini bus were taken to Nepean Hospital as a precaution for minor injuries.
Officers from Penrith Local Area Command attended and commenced an investigation.
Mulgoa road remains closed in both directions with traffic diversions in place.
Motorists are encouraged to avoid the area.
