Police are investigating the armed robbery of a convenience store at North Strathfield.
A man entered the store on George Street about 6.30pm yesterday (Sunday 8 November 2015), and confronted the attendant, a 25-year-old man.
The man, who was armed with a large knife, demanded money before fleeing with a sum of cash.
He was last seen running south along George Street.
Police were alerted and officers from Burwood Local Area Command attended and commenced inquiries.
An investigation is underway and police are appealing for public assistance to identify and locate the man involved.
He’s described as having a dark complexion, approximately 168cm tall, aged in his mid 20s and with a thin build.
He was wearing dark pants and jumper and had long black dreadlocks.
