Police investigate shooting – Belmore

Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding a shooting in Sydney’s south-west overnight.

About 9.45pm (Tuesday 20 October 2015) a number of shots were fired on Trafalgar Street, Belmore.

A 28-year-old man was hit twice in the leg while standing in the front yard of a home.

He was taken to hospital where he is receiving treatment for non-life threatening injuries.

A crime scene was established and detectives from Campsie Local Area Command are now making inquiries into the incident.

They are also investigating reports a vehicle was seen leaving the area immediately after the shooting, however no description of that vehicle is available at this time.
