Police are investigating the assault of a teenage girl at Pooraka yesterday afternoon.
About 3pm on Wednesday 6 July, the teen was walking along a creek path adjacent to Mintara Terrace, Pooraka when she was assaulted by a man. She was forced to the ground and received minor injuries during the assault.
A woman witnessed the attack and ran to the girl’s assistance, yelling out to the man, who ran off.
Police searched the area with the assistance of a Police Dog, but were unable to locate the suspect.
The man is described as aged in his late 20s, with a dark complexion, solid build, about 175 cm tall, with shoulder length wavy black hair, chubby cheeks, a broad nose and no facial hair. At the time, he was wearing a dark hooded jumper, black pants and a long black beanie high on his head.
