Two men have been charged with numerous offences after an investigation by police on the state’s north coast.
About 1.45pm yesterday (Thursday 3 September 2015), following an investigation into a robbery in Port Macquarie earlier in the day, police pulled over a vehicle on Park Street, Port Macquarie.
A 30-year-old man was arrested at the scene, with police allegedly locating a small amount of amphetamine in his possession.
Further information received caused police to attend a home on Crisallen Street, Port Macquarie, where – after a short operation – an 18-year-old man was arrested.
Police then searched the premises allegedly locating a replica pistol, as well as an amount of alleged stolen property and a small amount of cannabis.
He was taken to Port Macquarie Police Station where he was charged with robbery with an offensive weapon, take and drive conveyance, possess prohibited drug and breach of bail.
The 30-year-old man was charged with two counts of possess prohibited drug and breach bail.
Inquiries are continuing and further offences are expected to be laid at court.
They were both refused bail to appear at Port Macquarie Local Court today (Friday 4 September 2015).
