Truck driver killed in Mount Moriac crash

A 52-year-old man has died in hospital following a truck crash at Mount Moriac earlier this month.

Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash that happened on the Princes Highway on 8 December just after midnight.

Investigators believe that the prime mover and trailer were travelling west on the highway when the vehicle veered off the road, drove through several farm fences and came to rest in a paddock.

The driver, a 52-year-old Melton West man, was conveyed to hospital but unfortunately passed away on 15 December.
