Fatal crash near Kyogle

A report will be prepared for the Coroner following a fatal crash on the state’s North Coast yesterday.
About Xpm (Sunday 9 August 2015), police were contacted by a woman who was concerned as her partner had not arrived home.
Officers conducted a search of the area and located a Toyota Landcruiser down an embankment off Afterlee Road, Afterlee. The body of the 65-year-old male driver was located in the vehicle.
Initial investigations indicate the Landcruiser had crossed onto the incorrect side of the road and down the embankment, before hitting trees.
Police from Richmond Local Area Command are investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash and are appealing for anyone who may have information to come forward.
