Police on patrol arrested a dog walker with a difference in Ararat early this morning.
Members spotted a man out walking his dog and acting suspiciously just before 12.30am on Baird Street.
When they stopped and spoke to the man, he produced a bag of what is believed to be cannabis.
Further searches revealed he had other drugs on him including ICE, heroin and prescription medication, as well as a variety of drug paraphernalia.
The ICE is believed to be valued at over $11,000.
The 55-year-old Ararat man was charged with drug offences and will appear this morning at Ararat Magistrates’ Court.
The dog was released without charge.
