Arrest over shooting incident – Surfers Paradise

A man has been charged overnight in relation to a shooting incident at a hotel in Surfers Paradise on Friday August 21, 2015.

It is alleged during the incident a 31-year-old man sustained a gunshot wound to his abdomen at the Palm Avenue hotel.

A 24-year-old man of no fixed place of abode has been charged with enter dwelling with intent, demand property with menace and common assault.

He is due to face Southport Magistrates Court today.

Investigations are continuing.
