Man shot in state’s South East

Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding a shooting at Pelican Point earlier this morning.

At 5.30am, police received a report that a man had received a gunshot wound to the chest.

Police located the man and he was taken to the Mount Gambier hospital with a non-life threatening injury.

The initial investigation suggests the incident may have been accidental and that all parties involved are known to each other.
