A three-year-old boy found in a pond on a property in Ingleside yesterday has sadly passed away in hospital tonight.

Just before 3pm (Monday 2 May 2016), emergency services were called to a home on Chiltern Road, after a three-year-old boy was pulled from a pond.

The boy was found by his father and a nearby member of the public raised the alarm.

It is understood the boy had wandered from his home onto the adjoining property.
He was taken to Sydney’s Children’s Hospital, Randwick, but later died as a result of his injuries.

Officers from Northern Beaches Local Area Command attended the location and have commenced an investigation.

A report will be prepared for the information of the Coroner.
