Fatal crash near Mudgee

Police are investigating following a fatal crash near Mudgee overnight.

About 11.20pm (Friday 14 August 2015), police and emergency services were called to Bylong Valley Way, Kandos, following reports of a single vehicle crash.

On arrival, officers found a Toyota Hilux utility crashed into a tree.

The male driver sustained critical injuries and died at the scene. He has not yet been formally identified.

Officers from Mudgee Local Area Command are investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash.

A report will be prepared for the Coroner.
