Five people arrested after drug lab found in Adelaide hotel

ADELAIDE

Police have arrested five people after a clandestine drug laboratory and illegal firearms were found in an Adelaide hotel yesterday.

Officers from Western Adelaide Criminal Investigation Branch and Operation Mantle went to the hotel at about 4.30pm and located the clan lab in a bathroom of one of the hotel rooms. The lab was not in operation.

They also found substances suspected to be methamphetamine and two home-made pen guns and ammunition.

A 26-year-old woman and a 33-year-old woman, both of no fixed address along with a 52-year-old Oakden woman, a 29-year-old Redwood Park man and a 35-year-old man from Royal Park have all been charged with manufacturing a controlled drug, trafficking a controlled drug, possess firearm without a license and possessing insecure ammunition.

They have all been refused bail and will appear in the Adelaide Magistrates Court today.
