Man charged with murder following death of 45-year-old man – Lakemba

A man has been charged with murder and will appear in court today, following the death of a 45-year-old man at Lakemba this morning.
About 12.30am yesterday (Sunday 11 October 2015), emergency services were called to Garrong Road following reports that a man had suffered serious injuries.
The man was found outside a block of units with an injury to his neck. He died at the scene.
A crime scene was established and a 48-year-old man was arrested yesterday. He was later released from custody without being charged.
About 3.30pm yesterday a 24-year-old Lakemba man attended Campsie Police Station. He was arrested and later charged with murder.
He has been bail refused and is due to appear at Burwood Local Court today (Monday 12 October 2015).
