Teen charged over aggravated break and enter – Doonside

A teenager has been charged over an alleged aggravated break and enter in Sydney’s west overnight.

About 2am (Tuesday 25 August 2015), two residents of a home on Wangara Street at Doonside were woken by two unknown males inside their home.

The intruders fled when confronted by the residents, and dropped items they had allegedly stolen from the home.

Police were alerted and officers from Blacktown Local Area Command attended and conducted a search of the area with assistance from the Dog Unit.

A 15-year-old boy was arrested nearby and taken to Blacktown Police Station where he was charged with aggravated break and enter and steal.

He was given bail to appear at a children’s court on 17 September 2015.

Inquiries are continuing and police are appealing for public assistance to identify and locate the other teen.
