The young boy injured in yesterday’s crash at Gormandale has died.
Wellington Highway Patrol is investigating the crash which occurred on the Hyland Highway about 3.45pm.
It is believed the car was travelling east on the highway when it left the road and struck a tree.
The male driver of the car, a 50-year-old Yarram man, was airlifted to the Royal Melbourne Hospital with serious, but non-life threatening injuries.
The two-year-old boy from Yarram passed away overnight.
Police will prepare a report for the Coroner.
