Arson Squad investigation

About 3:35pm yesterday afternoon, offender(s) were in the women’s underwear section of a department store located within a shopping centre on Ocean Keys Boulevard in Clarkson.
They set fire to some underwear which spread to other clothing on display.
Staff quickly evacuated customers from the store and put out the fire. DFES attended to ensure the fire was fully extinguished.
Approximately $50,000 damage was caused by the fire.
Arson Squad officers are investigating the incident and anyone with any information is asked to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
