Man arrested after alarm at Port Adelaide

A man has been arrested following an alarm activation at a business at Port Adelaide this morning.

About 12.30am police responded to an alarm at a Dale Street business with their cameras picking up a man acting suspiciously at the front of the premises.

Patrols arrived and located the man a short distance away. The man was allegedly found in possession of gloves, a torch, wire cutters and a tyre lever.

A 56-year-old man from Port Adelaide was charged with possessing articles to commit an offence. He was refused bail and will appear in the Port Adelaide Magistrates Court today.
